China follows the Yosemite Decimal grading System (YDS). All grades shown in this guide are YDS’.
On all pictures, routes were drawn following a simple colour coding system, inspired from ski resorts:
Green for grades up to 5.9
Blue for 5.10x grades
Red for 5.11x grades
Black for grades on or above 5.12a.
Always bear in mind that grades are subjective and indicative. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of grades indicated in this website. If you are unsure whether you can climb a given route, we highly recommend that you keep some margin and urge you not to take any inconsiderate risk.
